    Naomi Stoker Review added: 2018.10.20
I've never complained on social media about a business but my experience warrants this.

I was a loyal client of 8 years but sadly it all went horribly wrong at your Reading Salon 6 months ago.
I went from confident with blonde long, thick healthy hair to brown, broken hair with thinning scalp. Absolutely not what i asked for!!!

It was my Wedding last month and it will forever be clouded by the state of my hair as a result of negligence suffered at the hands of one of your franchisees. I believe many of the other staff at the Reading salon are more talented than her and have higher standards and that this wouldn't have happened with someone else.

At the appointment I made it very clear I wanted healthy hair and slightly less highlights than usual but I ended up darker, I never asked for brown to go in my hair. I had bleach highlights put through and a load of brown dye (that was not tested on me prior) literally smothered all over my scalp. The ends were bleached and yet they needed up brown, engulfed in dye and like angry frizz. I just had two blonde streaks left at the front and felt utterly embarrassed by how it looked. Was told it would fade. It hasn't at all and I've lost a lot of hair. The blonde long healthy hair I once took for granted has been destroyed. I've been patient and complained, visited other salons but they said my hair was too damaged to have any further dye on it. The Reading store offered to dye my hair back to blonde for free and give me weekly treatments. I had refused the dye correction as was advised elsewhere that anyone with respect for the integrity of hair would know looking at mine that eventually the whole lot would break at the root. I accepted some treatments but soon realised they weren't making any difference. I was so conciois of how bald my scalp had become (so did the person responsible for doing this to me) that I found the whole experience too difficult and declined further treatments.
I spent months putting coconut oil in the ends, taking Biotin and eating better than ever before but my October wedding was fast approaching and nothing was going to bring me hair back to how it was.

I sent a detailed letter with pictures of before and after to head office

I wanted a reimbursement of incurred costs since the visit back in April 2017. I have been palmed off to the salons insurance firm. Disgusting. My hair was half way down my back and has gradually broken to shoulder length. I've not been able to use heat on it and basically every day is a bad hair day.
8 years of having highlights with the same person & something goes horribly wrong and yet I have been treated like I'm making a fuss.

Had blood tests and scalp tests and they all concluded that there was nothing wrong with me, just my hair and it's entirely due to the salon.

Tomorrow I take the plunge and will have my hair cut short (at another salon) and hope it will grow back to how it was.

If only google would let me post the photos of the sad state of my hair before and after.
